Helen trained in classical ballet, jazz and tap at the Surrey School of Ballet in the UK, with Denise Winmill ARAD RBS Dip. TTC AISTD (teacher at the Royal Ballet School).

Upon graduating from the three-year Teacher Training programme of the Royal Academy of Dance in 2001, Helen gained teaching experience in Italy, Portugal and across London and became Associate Principal of the Denise Winmill School of Dance; a position she held until moving to Australia at the end of 2007.

Career highlights range from devising and publicly teaching Scholarship Classes at the RAD Headquarters, to professional choreographic work for large-scale productions (including 'Oklahoma!' with a cast of 45 at the New Wimbledon Theatre).

Since 1998, Helen has trained, prepared and entered students from 6 to 18 years for RAD ballet examinations at both Graded and Vocational levels, with excellent results.

In addition to her work as a guest teacher, assessor and choreographer for various schools and studios in Melbourne, she is the Director of Modern Jive Melbourne; a social dance company based in the city. As a regular dancer, teacher, competitor and judge of Modern Jive; she has choreographed and performed many routines, both in the Teams and Showcase divison, at Championships held in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
